Goose is now installed on the forge for local evaluation. The local receipt confirms Goose CLI 1.37.0 and a successful help invocation. This is installation evidence, not a task-fit, security, benchmark, or adoption verdict.

Architecture placement

The approved Sam Foundry reference configuration places Goose in the local and on-prem worker path. The relevant systems are syn-ai-motor and syn-ai-soma: a worker must have an explicit runtime, tool boundary, context packet, budget, and receipt.

Potential value

A bounded local worker can be useful for private, repeatable, or low-marginal-cost tasks. Value would depend on observed task fit, controllable permissions, failure behavior, evidence quality, and the absence of silent cloud fallback.

What a trial must answer

Before adoption, review current primary documentation and source licensing. Run only a synthetic task. Observe filesystem and network behavior, record exact versions, define stop conditions, and compare the result with deterministic acceptance criteria.
